Amazon's Secret Coupon Page Has up to 34% Off Ahead of Prime Day (2024)

WE ARE A couple of weeks away from Prime Day (July 16 and 17) but that doesn't mean you should wait to prepare for the savings. For those who want to get a head start on the deal hunting, we're pulling together all the best early Prime Day sales you can find across Amazon—and more specifically, Amazon's hidden coupon page.

If you want to know which Amazon products have coupons attached to them, all you have to do is look at the listing details. If a product is eligible for a coupon, you'll spot a small box you can "click" to activate. Doing so will automatically apply the listed discount (usually named in a dollar amount) to the product once you add-to-cart.

Amazon's coupon section is hidden deep into the site, often going unnoticed and unused. But, if you have noticed this perk in the past, it was probably in the form of a small green button on a product page, while shopping for something specific. Of course, not every product has a coupon offering, so wouldn't it be easier to shop from one large list of coupon-eligible products? Fortunately, that list exists on the Amazon Coupons homepage.

Amazon hasn't made this section easy to find, but the if-you-know-you-know section is easy to reference once you've got the steps down. How you navigate to it depends on how you're shopping on Amazon, so here are the steps for both desktop and app usage:

Start by clicking on the "Today's Deals" tab. Once there, you'll find Amazon's list of daily deals, as well as a couple of subsections at the top of your computer listed to the right of "Today's Deals." Those subsections are: Coupons, Renewed Deals, Outlet, and Amazon Warehouse. Click on Coupons and you'll find the homepage.

The best method we've found for finding the Amazon Coupons homepage on your phone is by searching "Amazon coupons" in the search bar. Then, you'll be brought directly to the coupon homepage where you can click and apply coupons to products the same way you would on desktop.

You have to clip your Amazon Coupons for the savings to be applied. Think of the small green check box as an alternative to having the cashier scan your coupons at checkout. You can click the "Clip Coupon" button on the section's homepage, or click it on the product page. Each coupon has a specific deal attached to it. For example: Some deals are limited-time offers from brands, while others might be exclusive to Amazon Prime members.

You do not need a Prime membership to access Amazon Coupons, but if you want to maximize savings, we recommend one. Once you've clipped a coupon, the discount won't show until you add the item to your cart, and exact savings won't appear until checkout.

Much like traditional paper coupons, Amazon Coupons have time limits for usage. They won't come with a specific date, but you'll see "valid for a limited time only." When a coupon you've previously clipped is about to expire, it moves to the "Expiring Soon" tab. You can find the expiration section when click into your "Recently Clipped" tab on the left rail on the coupons homepage, so it's easy to know when you should use a coupon sooner rather than later.
