I’m currently 27 weeks (FTM) and noticed almost a snot like consistency when I went to the bathroom. No blood. It seemed like a good amount to me? I know discharge is a normal part of pregnancy but my discharge is usually white and thinner. I immediately looked it up and it said it could be my mucus plug which isn’t typically lost until around 37 weeks of pregnancy. I know pregnancy is a little different with twins. I do have an OB appointment this coming Friday. I’ve read it can regenerate but I’ve also read it’s a sign of labor. I definitely am praying I’m not going into labor at 27 weeks. Has this happened to anyone else? Should I call my doctor tomorrow?

I started loosing mine about a week ago. I still notice pieces here and there and thicker almost jelly like discharge. I’m currently 28 +3. They say the mucous plug can regenerate. I spoke to my ob about it but she didn’t seem worried as I wasn’t having any labor signs. If you’re concerned I’d just ask your ob. It’d give you a peace of mind. ☺️

it sounds like a plug, but it can regenerate. I personally wouldn't worry if there wasn't any blood, but since it's with twins, it might be worth just mentioning it to your doctor. Wishing you the best!

This happened to me at 27 weeks as well. I lost little bits for a week and then seemed to stop. I wouldn’t be concerned unless you saw blood in it or had any other signs of labour with it

If it wasn’t bloody it’s ok — pieces of plug slough off all throughout pregnancy and it regenerates. I lost a piece bigger than my thumb midway my first pregnancy. Doc wasn’t concerned. Carried full term.
